NLCN neutralized at the right time: Meghalaya CM

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday said the newly floated National Liberation Council of Nongkyndong (NLCN) has been neutralized by the State police at the right time.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “Yes, there were individuals, who were trying to get together, who try to bring out this unit and try to get training but this was all kind of neutralized at the right time and approximately 10 people plus minus have already been arrested. Their so-called top leaders have been arrested.”

He said that NLCN was not really formed as such.

“It was a group of people, who were trying to form this kind of stuff but as I said the intel was collected at the right time and the action has been taken so there is no such group as such,” Sangma added.
