    District Magistrate, South Garo Hills District PR Marak, MCS has imposed prohibitory order under section 163 BNSS promulgating night curfew from 6:00 PM to 6:00 Α.M within 200 metres of the International Border.

    The order prohibited ovement of individuals at the international border with the intent to cross into Bangladesh or illegally enter Indian Territory.

    The District Magistrate also banned unauthorized gatherings or unlawful assemblies of five (5) or more persons carrying arms or other instruments that can be used as weapons, including lathis, spears, swords, sticks, and brickbats etc in and around the Indo-Bangladesh border.

    The order prohibited iIllegal and undesirable activities, including the smuggling of cattle, contraband items, betel nuts, tobaccos, sugar, etc.
