    The Superintendent of Police for West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, announced on Monday that new traffic arrangements have been put in place for school hours.

    This decision came from a meeting convened by the In-charge of Jowai Traffic Branch, with the Headmen, Executive members of Mookyrdup localities and the President of the Taxi Association, Jowai.

    Here’s the new traffic arrangment:

    One Way is implemented from Mookyrdup Junction to North Liberty School from 7:00AM to 9:00 AM, where all the vehicles going for dropping the students to North Liberty School will have to enter from the Main Road (Mookyrdup Junction) and exit via Irrigation Office, Road towards Mooralang through Jowai Polytechnic Road.

    No Entry is promulgated from Jowai Polytechnic Road towards Mookyrdup locality from 7:30 Am to 9:00Am.

    The above new traffic arrangement will be enforced only from Monday to Friday. Excluded during School Holidays.
