New parking lot opens in Jowai easing traffic congestion in Iawmusiang area

In order to pave way for more space and less congestion in the narrow roads of Jowai Town, a private parking lot was opened on Monday.

The new parking lot, located at Iawmusiang, opposite the taxi stand near Jowai Police Station, covers an area of approximately 1200 sqm and can accommodate all types of vehicles.

The parking lot was inaugurated today in a small gathering in the presence of Assistant Waheh Chnong, Dorbar Chnong Iawmusiang Jowai Timothy Phawa, and other executive members of the Dorbar Chnong Iawmusiang, along with other prominent citizens of Jowai.

The owner of the Lakiang parking lot, Kamwathrang Bai Lakiang, aims to ease traffic congestion in Jowai town, particularly in the Iawmusiang area. He mentioned plans to further develop the site for potential business establishments in the future.
