    Vice-Chancellor, NEHU Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla met Secretary, Skill Development for skill-oriented courses and infrastructure along with the Vice-Chancellor of Bilaspur Central University. The meeting was held to discuss the potential to start skill development courses in the university for the people of the state.

    The Vice-Chancellor of NEHU discussed at length about the possibilities of starting skill-oriented courses in NEHU for the people of Meghalaya which would include short-term courses and long-term courses.

    As part of working in tandem with the civil society of the state of Meghalaya, the Vice-Chancellor mentioned that this type of courses would directly benefit the local people in being skilfully employed and help them grow economically.

    Shukla enlightened the Secretary on how NEHU will be working towards the skill development of youth of the state which is also what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised on.

    He has requested the Secretary of Skill Development for skill-oriented courses and infrastructure to provide all the necessary help and guidance to NEHU so that the University help the people of the state in being skillfully employed.’
