National Lok Adalat settled 177 cases in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority has organised the National Lok Adalat on the December 9, in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

In the National Lok Adalat, 595 Pre-Litigation cases and 384 pending cases were taken up for settlement.

The total number of cases taken up was 979, of which 177 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs.1,20,98,568/- (Rupees One crore twenty lakhs ninety eight thousand five hundred and sixty eight) only in the National Lok Adalat.
