    Members of National Assessment And Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer review team consisting of Professor Ashutosh Ghosh (Chairman), Professor Mohammad Arif (Member Coordinator) and Dr. Ajay Bhamare (Member) visited Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai, the headquarter of West Jaintia Hills District.

    The NAAC peer team visited the college on 15 and 16 November 2021.

    The Kiang Nangbah Government College is the first Government College to have  successfully completed the 1st Cycle of NAAC inspection and assessment conducted by NAAC Peer team. The College had begun this process in May 2019 under the direction of the Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui and the then Principal Secretary, now Additional Chief Secretary DP Wahlang. 

    The IQAC was set up in May 2019 with Dr. JP Sharma as the IQAC Co-ordinator, under the Principalship of S De. The IIQA and SSR were submitted under the Principalship of Dr. (Mrs.) EM Blah.

    The IQAC has 7 Criteria to work with and fulfill and to systematize the same, 7 leaders were given charge of each Criterion viz. WM Dkhar, Dr D Suchiang, Dr LM Darnei, H Toi, J Kharkongor, SMF Blah & Dr S Nongkhlaw.

    The Government appointed Dr SR Lyndem (RUSA consultant) for assisting the IQAC in the process. The contribution  of the  Government of Meghalaya, Education Department, in terms of finance and other efforts put in for the purpose, the dedication and hard work of  the Principal, Faculty, the non-teaching Staff, Support Staff, Students and their Parents, Alumni etc. is highly appreciated.

    The two days were very hectic and we expect the results within 10 days, and hope the college lives up to it’s motto: “Awake, Arise and Reach the Goal”, the statement said.
