Musical evening marks Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration at Shillong Raj Bhavan

The Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan today reverberated with soulful sounds of music and exquisite dance performances marking the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, commemorating 75 glorious years of India’s Independence. 

The musical evening organised by Raj Bhavan, Shillong in collaboration with ICCR, Regional Office, Shillong saw the attendance of the Governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik, Members of the Cabinet, Meghalaya Chief Justice, the Meghalaya Chief Secretary, and other senior officers of the government as well as the Air Marshall, Air Force, GoC 101 Area, DGAR and others officers of the Armed Forces.

The artists whose performances enlivened the evening included K C Lights; Gitanjali Dance Academy, Shillong; Smti Priyanka Chaudhary from Uttar Pradesh; and the Assam Rifles Jazz Band.
