Mukul visits Chokpot CHC as part of assessing issues faced by healthcare facility, public in remote areas

Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma paid a visit to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Chokpot, South Garo Hills. The visit was part of his ongoing effort to understand ground realities and assess the issues faced by both the healthcare facility and the general public in remote areas.
Dr Sangma interacted with the doctors, nurses, and staff of the CHC and appreciated their commitment and dedication in delivering healthcare services under challenging circumstances. He also encouraged the medical team to conduct regular Hospital Management Committee (HMC) meetings to ensure better coordination and address operational challenges more effectively.
During the visit, Dr Sangma took note of various concerns shared by the staff and local citizens, and assured his full support and cooperation in pursuing appropriate measures to resolve the issues. He reiterated the need for responsive governance and efficient service delivery, particularly in underserved regions like Chokpot.
Dr Sangma expressed his satisfaction with the sincerity shown by the medical personnel and extended his best wishes to the entire team in their continued efforts to serve the community.
