    SHILLONG:  Muay Thai Association of Meghalaya managed to bring laurels for the State with 22 Gold Medals along with 5 each in Silver and Bronze Medals at the North East Youth Festival organized by the Sikkim Youth Development Board & Muaythai Association of Sikkim  which was held from 21st – 23rd January 2019  at Dontam , West Sikkim.

    Muaythai is an Arts of 8 Limbs known as King of Martial Arts which was originated from Bangkok Thailand.

    A 35 Contingent of State Muaythai Boxers was led by Asian Bronze Medalist in Muaythai Miss Monica Nongrum from Umsawnongkharai Village near Nongpoh.

    International Referee and Coach in Muaythai Angelus Sun Sun Angelus lead a Team of 5 Officials from the State.

    Joseph Maring of 6th MLP Battalion and resident of Langpahdon Village Ri-Bhoi District managed to bring Bronze Medal for the State.
