MTC restarts helicopter operations on Shillong, Guwahati, Tura routes

The Managing Director of Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has announced the resumption of Meghalaya Helicopter Service operations from June 2, 2025, covering the Guwahati, Shillong, and Tura sectors.
The service will operate on a fixed schedule across different days of the week. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the flights will operate on the Guwahati–Shillong, Shillong–Guwahati, Guwahati–Tura, and Tura–Guwahati sectors.
The Guwahati–Shillong flight will take off at 8:30 AM, followed by Shillong–Guwahati at 9:10 AM. The Guwahati–Tura flight is scheduled for 9:30 AM, while the Tura–Guwahati return flight will depart at 10:45 AM. Another Guwahati–Shillong flight will take off at 12:00 PM, with the return Shillong–Guwahati service at 12:40 PM.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the service will operate between Guwahati and Shillong. The first flight from Guwahati will depart at 9:30 AM, with the return Shillong–Guwahati flight at 10:10 AM. Another round of flights is scheduled at 12:00 PM from Guwahati and 12:40 PM from Shillong.
The fare for each sector between Guwahati, Shillong, and Tura is fixed at Rs 2,200 per passenger, inclusive of GST. However, for passengers travelling between Shillong and Tura via Guwahati, the fare will be Rs 3,000 per passenger.
