  • MRWA launches rowing talent hunt for 39th National Games Meghalaya

    The Meghalaya Rowing & Watersports Association (MRWA) has announced a Talent Identification Programme to scout athletes for the 39th National Games Meghalaya 2027. The programme invites residents of Meghalaya aged 18 to 22 to showcase their potential and represent the state in rowing.

    Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria: girls should be at least 5 ft 5 in, boys 5 ft 7 in; they should preferably have experience in competitive sports and be able to swim at least 50 metres.

    Interested participants can submit their biodata via email at [email protected] or WhatsApp at 9089200614.

    The talent scout schedule is as follows: Tura – 26 August, Nongstoin – 30 August, Jowai – 06 September, and Shillong – 20 September. Applications must be submitted at least two days prior to the respective event.

    The MRWA calls on aspiring athletes across the state to grab this opportunity to represent Meghalaya at the National Games.
