    The mortal remains of Bangladeshi businessman and general secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League Ishaque Ali Khan Panna is lying unclaimed in the morgue room of Civil Hospital Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills District.

    This was informed by the Superintendent of Police East Jaintia Hills District in a press release issued to the media houses.

    According to the press release, On the evening of 26th August 2024, one unknown male dead body in a semi decomposed state was found lying at the betel nut plantation located in the Dona Bhoi Area of East Jaintia Hills District, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Indo Bangladesh border.

    The SP informed one Bangladesh passport bearing the name of Shri. Ishaque Ali Khan Panna was recovered from the body.

    Later, after observing all the formalities at the PO, the dead body was shifted to Civil Hospital Khliehriat for Post-Mortem examination.

    Further, on completion of the Post-Mortem examination the body is kept in the Morgue Room at Khliehriat Civil Hospital, East Jaintia Hills District for identification and claiming of the same. The investigation is on pertaining to the case.
