    The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills has removed the containment tag from various houses in Shillong after no fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported.  

    The areas that have been withdrawn from containment zone are:

    House of Renelin Dkhar, Opposite Income Tax Transit Office, Upper Lachumiere, 

    PWD Quarter No.49, Barik 

    Quarter No.MES 204/4, Rhino Cantonment Area 

    Residence of Dr. R. Pariat at Chinapatty, Malki,

    House of Dolbi Massar, Bishnupur Central,

    Residence of Ibaiahunlang Syiem at Cleve Colony,

    House of Smti S. M. Iangrai, Lawsohtun Block-1,

    House of Smti H. B.Diengdoh, Lawsohtun Block-6

    The Second Floor of the Building of Smti B. Sun, Streamlet Road, Laban.

    In another order, the district administration has declared four more houses as micro containment areas.

    This include the compound of Virginia Dkhar, Forest Colony, Block-IV, Lawmali Pyllun, First Floor of the House of Shaicinora Kharshandi, Jaiaw Lumsyntiew, first floor of the house of Wanda Marbaniang at Umsohsun and in the house of Shri A. Goswam, Keep Sing Swer Road, Laban.
