    District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills Garod LSN Dykes on Monday has permitted more activities to reopen in the district from September 6 till further orders.

    Here are the following additional activities are permitted to re-open in the District:

    Dorbar Shnong Meetings, Trainings, official and Private Programmes are permitted with prior permission from the Deputy commissioner. West Jaintia Hills District. Jowai /Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Amlarem.

    Private transport may ply upto 100% within West Jaintia Hills District.

    Skill Training Programme (both Government and Private) may resume subject to compliance with the SOP issued by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship with prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai /Sub- Divisional Officer (Civil) Amlarem.

    Further, in partial modification to Order Under Section 144 CrPC issued on September 4 in respect SOP on preventive Measures to contain spread of COVID-19 in Religious Places/ Places of worship, the permitted number of attendees for ordinary/regular services is revised as follows:

    In Churches, maximum number of persons allowed during church service should not exceed 50% of the seating capacity of the church.

    Similarly, in Temple, Mosques, Gurudwaras and other places of worship the number of person should not exceed 50 % of the seating capacity of the place of worship.

    Individuals must strictly maintain a minimum distance of 5 feet.
