    Meghalaya Government on Friday has permitted additional activities in the state from September 6.

    Chief Secretary MS Rao in his order said the Dorbar shnong meetings, trainings, official and private programmes are permitted with prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner / SDO (Civil) and subject to attendance of not more than 1/3rd of the total capacity of the hall/ venue.

    Private transport may ply upto 100% based on local situation and as per regulation of the Deputy Commissioners / SDO (Civil).

    Skill training programmes (both government and private) may resume subject to compliance with the SOP issued by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner / SDO (Civil).

    Further, in respect of the SOP on Preventive Measures to contain Spread of COVID-19 in Religious Places/Places of Worship, the permitted number of attendees for ordinary / regular services has been revised. In Churches, maximum number of persons allowed during church service should not exceed 50% of the seating capacity of the church.

    Similarly, in Temples, Mosques, Gurudwaras and other places of Worship the number of persons should not exceed 50% of the seating capacity of the place of worship.

    Individuals must strictly maintain a minimum distance of 5 feet.
