    Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Tuesday evening with a two-day-long programme to campaign for the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

    Modi was received by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) at around 7.05 pm.

    Soon after arrival, PM Modi proceeded to Bhangagarh (Rajiv Bhawan) from where he led a roadshow to Janata Bhawan accompanied by more than 15,000 people.

    He arrived at State Guest House No 1 at Koinadhora here at 8.28 pm.

    The Prime Minister is expected to address the leaders and workers of the party in a meeting in the night.

    On Wednesday, Modi will leave for Nalbari by a chopper from Khanapara, where he will address an election rally at Nalbari Gurdan HS School playground to kick off the campaign for AGP candidate Phani Bhusan Choudhury for the upcoming elections.

    The prime Minister will leave for Agartal soon after the meeting.
