    The Meghalaya Medical Services Association (MMSA) expresses its profound concern over the recent heinous and brutal crime against a lady doctor in Kolkata. In solidarity with the All-India Federation of Government Doctors Association (AIFGDA), the members or MMSA are observing a Black Badge Protest today, the 16th of August 2024.

    “By wearing black badges, we stand united with our fellow doctors across the country to condemn this act of violence and to call for immediate justice. The safety and security of healthcare possessional are paramount. and such incidents must not go unaddressed,”  MMSA said in a statement. 

    The MMSA urges the authorities to take stringent action against the perpetrators and to ensure a safer working environment for all medical professionals. Members of MMSA will continue to provide medical services tomorrow, August 17.
