Miscreants pelted stones at the residence of NPP MDC from Umsning Macdalyn S Mawlong on Wednesday evening.

On receiving information, Umiam police immediately rushed to Mawlong’s residence at Ladsharai, Ri Bhoi district to conduct an inquiry on the matter, sources said.

Several stones were found in the premises of Mawlong, they said.

A case has been registered and investigation is on to nab the culprits.

Ri Bhoi SP said that when the incident happened, the MDC was talking over the phone outside and was targeted by the miscreant. “However the stone did not hit her but cross her eyesight and hit the glass window panes . No one got hurt but damaged incurred to the house,” he said

“On being asked if she can identify the culprit , Macdeline said no but she suspected some people. Accordingly instructed SI to take her statement and forward the suspected names to OC for binding  him/them down under 107 CrpC,” the SP said.
