Miranda S. Bareh elected president of Khliehriat Bar Association

The Khliehriat Bar Association on Wednesday successfully held its 5th General Election at the Video Conference Room of the District and Sessions Court Building in Khliehriat.
The polls recorded an impressive 90% voter turnout, with members casting their votes through a transparent secret ballot process.
The election, overseen by an independent committee chaired by Kerlang Ksoo, with Ridein Satein as secretary and Shimnika Dkhar as member, was conducted in strict adherence to principles of fairness and confidentiality.
Miranda S. Bareh was elected as president, with Aida Mary Nongtdu as vice president, Wandajop Sympli as general secretary, Rimeca Lyngdoh as assistant general secretary, Rimaya Mannar as finance secretary, and Pynshai Kupar M. Dkhar as publicity secretary. Timidis Pakem was elected as office-cum-library secretary, while N.D. Sarkar, Esther Nongtdu, and Ialamiki Suchiang will serve as executive members.
The association expressed its gratitude to members for their active participation and to the Election Committee for ensuring a smooth electoral process.
The newly elected office-bearers will assume their duties immediately, with a focus on strengthening advocacy, promoting member welfare, and advancing community legal initiatives.
