Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh reviews Health Agriculture and Horticulture projects in Jaintia Hills region

Minister in charge of Health, Agriculture & Family Welfare, Information & Public Relations, Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, held a zonal meeting with the Health departments, Agriculture & Horticulture department, and Research department of both districts of Jaintia Hills region. The meeting was held in the conference room of the Soil & Water Conservation office in Mihmyntdu, West Jaintia Hills.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various health issues and assess the progress of ongoing projects in Jaintia Hills region.
During the meeting, the Health Minister, Dr. Ampareen, met with MLAs and Medical officers to discuss the health scenario of both districts. The Minister interacted with health officials to gain an understanding of the current state of healthcare in the districts and to discuss possible solutions. She also interacted with the ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activists), who are community health workers.
Later, Ampreen Lyngdoh had a meeting with the officers of the Agriculture, Horticulture, and Research departments, as well as the District & Local Research Station and Laboratory of both districts. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the progress of ongoing projects undertaken by these departments in the districts. The officers presented schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, and research, highlighting the work being done and the outcomes.

Several MLAs attended the meeting, including Wailadmiki Shylla of Jowai, Nujorki Sungoh of Mowkaiaw, Lahkmen Rymbui of Amlarem, and Santa Mary Shylla of Sutnga-Saipung. In addition, Isawanda Laloo, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, and the Deputy Commissioners of West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills, B S Sohliya, IAS, and Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, were present. The Superintendent of Police of West Jaintia Hills, Chemphang Syrti, was also in attendance.
