  • MePDCL announces power shut down for 6 days due to construction of new KV line at Mawlyndep

    The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) has informed that there no power supply for six days from November 4 to November 9 with effect from 9 am to 3 pm to areas that will be affected by the construction of the new kV line at Mawlyndep.

    In a shut down notice, the MePDCL said that the areas to be affected by the construction of 33KV MES Feeder include – MES Assam Regimental Centre, Assam Rifle Office Complex, Assam Rifle Residential, MES Hospital, PGCIL, NERPC, NERLDC, Anthropological Survey of India, whole of Happy Valley, Mawshbuit, Madanrting, Wahrynthi, Laitkor Wahkdait and its adjoining areas.

    The areas to be affected by the construction of the 33KV Lad Smit Feeder are DGAR, Umphynai, Sohryngkham, Mawryngkneng, Mawlyndep, Puriang, Smit, Nongkrem, Thangsning, Jongsha, Mawkynrew, Kharang and its adjoining areas.

    The MePDCL also assured that efforts will be made to complete the work in time. Inconvenience to be caused is sincerely regretted.
