Meghalaya’s Lok Adalat: 124 cases settled

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority has organised the National Lok Adalat on May 11 in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

E Kharumnuid, Member Secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, informed that during the National Lok Adalat, 401 Pre-Litigation cases and 334 pending cases were taken up for settlement.

He informed that total number of cases taken up was 735, of which 124 cases were settled for a total amount of ₹87,49,876.95/- (Rupees Eighty seven lakhs forty nine thousand eight hundred seventy six and ninety five paise) only.
