    Assembly speaker Metbah Lyngdoh on Monday visited the residence of former Deputy Chief Minister, Rowell Lyngdoh to pay last respect to the departed leader.

    Rowell Lyngdoh (86) passed away on Sunday evening.

    Along with Assembly Speaker, large number of legislators, cutting across party lines visited the late leader’s residence to pay their tributes.

    The Assembly Speaker also condoled the death of Selsella former MLA, Atul C. Marak (80) who died on Sunday morning.

    “With a heavy heart, I pray for late Rowell Lyngdoh, former deputy chief minister and late Atul C. Marak, former minister who are no more with us, may their eternal soul rest in peace”, assembly speaker said.

    Extending his condolences to the contribution of the two former legislators, assembly speaker said, their work and love towards the people of the state will always be remembered.
