    Meghalaya is all set to participate in the 62nd edition Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2023 to be held in New Delhi from September 19 -26 where Saiden Secondary School Nongpoh winner of the State Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2023 will represent Meghalaya in the U-17 Years Girls’ category.

    The Sports Department on Thursday organized a send off ceremony for the Meghalaya Subroto Cup Football Team at MFA Football Ground.

    Isawanda Laloo, IAS Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya has been the chief guest of the programme in the presence of PB War Nongbri Assistant Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya, District Sports Officer Ribhoi District, Headmaster of Saiden Secondary School Nongpoh, teachers etc, the meeting was preside by K. Passah Assistant Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya.

    During the meeting, a short speech was given by BL Nongbet DSO Ribhoi District and also words of encouragement to the players was given by the chief guest Isawanda Laloo, IAS Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya.

    The list of players include Daphishisha Syngkli, Ellen Kynta, Imaia Shylla, Kynjailin Sohtun, Juliana Syiemlieh, Alisha Lyngdoh, Inri- La- I- Dor Kongthaw, Batiplang Khapiah, Eiladki Ksoo, Yulity T. Phanrang, Danisha Lyngdoh, Shimtilang Thongni, Nibari Maring, Barikor Kurbah, Daiamon Makhroh, Unity Maring, Ridahunlin Lyndem – Manager, Sumarlang Swer- Coach
