    The Meghalaya Basketball Association (MBA) will be hosting the Inaugural edition of the Senior National North East Zonal Championship 2021 for Men and Women in Shillong from 16th to 19th December.

    Six state affiliated to Basketball Federation of India include Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Meghalaya will take part.

    The purpose of the new format is to ensure the best participation from the various zones and help the other lesser known states strive to be a part of the Main Championship.

    The matches will be held at St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School from 16th December at 8 pm.

    Entry of spectators will be subject to Government protocols for Sports events and rules and regulations set by the association.

    Lalrina Renthlei from Mizoram, a current national team player and former National Team player from Assam, Birender Hudda will also take part in the tournament.
