    SHILLONG: Meghalaya lose 2-1 against Gujarat in the Hero National Sub Junior Girls Football Championship held at Driems University Stadium, Cuttack today.

    Meghalaya dominate the match right from the 1st minute of the match and in 8 mins Meghalaya’s Sanfida Nongrum score the goal giving Meghalaya the lead 1-0, but Gujarat equalised through a good counter attack within the 12 mins making the scoreline 1-1 till the end of the 1st half.

    In the 2nd half , Meghalaya remains a dominant side putting pressure on the Gujarat defense but Meghalaya missed too many chances to score and in 42 mins Gujarat striker standing in a clear offside position scored the goal putting Gujarat into the Quarter final . Meghalaya have been the better team but due too many missed chances they lose and had to go home.
