Shillong Lajong won their second consecutive match to extend their lead in Group E of the Meghalaya State League 2024 by beating Seinbhalang Shktentalang 6-2 in Wahiajer on October 30, with a hat trick from Kynsaibor Lhuid.

Kynsaibor (18’, 37’, 90’+5) scored twice in the first half and once in the second, and there were also goals from his teammates Abhay Chettri (3’) and Deibormame Tongper (16’, 20’). However, Lajong, the 2019 MSL champions, did not have it their own way, as Shktentalang netted twice through Tip Rasmut (36’) and Teibormi Tariang (71’) to give their fans something to cheer about.

In Group B, Sutnga had to come back from conceding early to defeat Riangdo Youth 4-1. Riangdo’s Batskhemlang Thongnirit (3’) scored first before Sutnga powered their way back into the game through Skhemborlang Rupai (35’), Raplangki Lyngdoh (54’), Cheerfulness Shadap (77’), and Deligent Pdang (90’+4).

Elsewhere, Lumsohkhlur edged Pinggera Do•gisik 2-1 in Group A in Tura. Here, Hellocomet Marbaniang (13’) and Richmond Nongsiej (44’) scored on either side of Rakanchekam R Marak’s 37th-minute goal, with the scoreline not changing after the first half.

In Group C, Tyrsad hosted its first match in MSL history, and Ladthadlaboh secured a 1-0 victory over local side Mawlum Tyrsad, with the lone goal provided by Rangdajied Sayoo in the 20th minute.

Over at Khliehriat in Group D, it ended goalless between Mulait United and Iatyllilang Lumsehkot Raliang, while Group F saw Riborlang Dkhar (44’, 90’) score a brace for Pynursla United to win 2-0 against Patharkhmah in Shillong.

There will be just one match tomorrow, between Mawtari Myrdon and 7 Wasa United in Group E at Wahiajer, with kick-off slated for 2 PM.
