  • Meghalaya records 4 new COVID-19 cases

    The state has recorded lowest daily detection of 4 new COVID-19 cases and 4 recoveries on Friday.

    Direction of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases included 3 in East Khasi Hills district and 1 in West Jaintia Hills district

    Dr War informed that all the 4 patients who recovered from the viral infection are from East Khasi Hills district.

    So far, the state has detected a total of 13,691 COVID-19 cases out of which 161 are active cases, 13,386 recovered and 144 deaths.

    East Khasi Hills has 103 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 30, East Jaintia Hills 16, North Garo Hills 4, Ri Bhoi 3, West Garo Hills 2 and West Khasi Hills 2.

    On the other hand, of the 3,15,290 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,01,599 were tested negative for the virus even as 66 persons are in institutional quarantine and 93 under home quarantine.

    There are 82,885 entrants from outside the state.
