Meghalaya: Re-opening of hotels from July 1

The state government has decided to permit re-opening of hotels from July 1.

Informing this after a review meeting on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “After receiving inputs from the concerned deputy commissioners, we have decided to allow re-opening of hotels from July 1.”

He said standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols will be issued to all the DCs for necessary actions.

Asked, Tynsong however said that hotels requisitioned by the government will continue to operate as quarantine facilities.
