Meghalaya polls: Congress releases list of 40 star campaigners including Rahul Gandhi
The opposition Congress on Thursday released a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Assembly elections including top leaders of the party like Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mukul Wasnik.
The list also includes MPCC chief Vincent Pala, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Jitender Singh, Manish Chatrath, Sachin Pilot, Gourav Gogoi, Nabam Tuki, Shashi Tharoor and Benny Behanan.
The Congress had announced its 60 candidates for the Assembly elections. Voting for the 60 assembly seats will be held on February 27 and counting will be on March 2.
Earlier today, the party had also launched its five commitments to make Meghalaya a five star state.
