Meghalaya Police orders enquiry into alleged malpractices during recruitment exams

Meghalaya Police has taken serious note of the negative feedback expressed by individuals on social media platforms regarding candidates indulging in malpractices and unfair means during police examinations held in various districts. In response, the Central Recruitment Board (CRB) has constituted an enquiry by a senior police officer to ascertain or establish such allegations.
In an official statement, Dalton P Marak, JPS, Inspector General of Police (SB/Bdr) and Chairman, CRB, Meghalaya Police, said, “An enquiry by a senior police officer is constituted in order to ascertain or establish such allegations. Further, the individuals are advised to refrain from spreading hearsay and unconfirmed source about the recruitment. If the candidates are certain about anomalies and malpractices indulged during the examinations, they are advised to report the matter to the Police officers present in the examination centres or report to CRB Office for which prompt action will be taken.”
He added that the CRB upholds the principles of Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) in letter and spirit and will impose stringent supervision for the remaining examinations.
“We wish the candidates all the best for the remaining examinations,” the statement said.
