  • Meghalaya police deployed one platoon of 3rd MLP personnel for ABVP State Conference

    The Meghalaya Police Headquarters has requisites forces from its four different units for law and duties in East Khasi Hills District during four major programmes to be held in the district.

    According to an official order, the requisition of forces is for Nongkrem Dance at Smit on 11th and 12th November this year, religious procession Prabhat Pheri organized by Sri Guru Singh near Raj- Bhavan, Shillong from 11th to 13th November, this year. The other two major programme are 8th State Conference of the Akhul Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong from 12th to 14th November this year and Cultural Rally on 13th November this year and commemoration of 125th Seng Kut by the Seng Khasi Kmie, Mawkhar on 23 November this year.

    As per official order, one platoon of 1st MLP battalion will be deployed for the Nongkrem Dance Festival while 15 personnel of 6th Battalion will be deployed for Prabhat Pheri.

    Further, one platoon of 3rd MLP will be detailed for the 8th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Parishad (ABVP) while one platoon of SF-10 will be deployed for Seng Kut Snem.

    The official order instructed the East Khasi Hills District police to mobilize traffic personnel from the district as per requirement since large number of forces are deployed for Gambegre bye-election in West Garo Hills, in Jkarkhand General Election Legislative Assembly-2024 and the Cadre Course personnel for the Meghalaya Police Recruitment Process.
