Meghalaya Police arrested Darlong for smuggling heroin

Meghalaya Police arrested one Darbalpuia Darlong (56), R/o Darchoi Ratiyabari, North Tripura for smuggling 55.49 grams of suspected heroin in a tourist taxi bearing registration no. ML-05Y-2945 at Umiam, Ri Bhoi District on Monday.

Police informed Umiam Ps Case No. 121(12)2024 u/s 8(c)/21(b)/27A/29 NDPS Act has been registered against the person and an investigation is in progress.
