Meghalaya mourned Lata Mangeshkar’s death

The State of Meghalaya joined hand with the rest of the country to mourn the death of Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday.

The Government has declared two days of state mourning as a mark of respect for singer Lata Mangeshkar, who died at Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai on Sunday.

The official notification read, “As a mark of respect to Late Kumari Lata Mangeshkar, the State Government has declared two days of State Mourning from 06.02.2022 (Sunday) to 07.02.2022 (Monday). During the period of State Mourning there will be no official entertainment and the National Flag will be flown at half mast at all Government Establishments throughout the State.
