Meghalaya HM stresses need to improve law & order scenario in the state

State Home Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui on Thursday attended a review conference of the police department held at the police headquarters, Shillong.

Issues related to the functioning of the department in various aspects such as law & order, crime, crime against women and children, administration and others were discussed during the review conference.

Delivering his keynote address, Rymbui emphasised upon the necessity of improving the law and order scenario in the state as it is one of the major factors which lead to crime incidences.

He also accentuated upon the need to find solutions to such crimes and to enhance awareness among the people in the state.

Earlier, Rymbui was also felicitated by the state Director General of Police (DGP), R Chandranathan.

Presentations were also delivered by Additional Director General of Police (L&O/TAP), I Nongrang, Additional Director General of Police (SB/CID), H Nongpluh and Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) GK Iangrai.
