    The Finance (Economic Affairs) Department, Government of Meghalaya, will conduct a Pre-Budget Discussion for the State of Meghalaya for FY 2025-26 on February 12. The consultative discussion will be chaired by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma.

    As the state moves toward becoming a USD 10 billion economy, the discussion aims to engage citizens in shaping the financial plans of the state. The session will provide an opportunity for constructive dialogue on Meghalaya’s fiscal policies and upcoming budgetary allocations.

    To ensure widespread participation, citizens are encouraged to join the discussion virtually via live stream and share their questions and suggestions through comments. The session will be broadcast live on Hello Meghalaya, as well as on the official Facebook pages:

    The Government invites all stakeholders and the public to take part in this crucial conversation on Meghalaya’s financial roadmap for FY 2025-2026.

    It is to be noted that the Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, will present the state budget on March 5. The budget session of the 11th Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will be held from February 28 to March 13, 2025.
