Meghalaya govt creates new police station at Nongshillong

In a move aimed at improving public convenience and strengthening administration, the Government of Meghalaya has announced the creation of a new police station at Nongshillong in the Eastern West Khasi Hills District.

The new facility will be known as the Nongshillong Police Station, as informed by the Commissioner & Secretary, Home (Police) Department, Government of Meghalaya.

The new police station’s jurisdiction is bounded by Nongstoin Police Station to the north, Mairang Police Station to the east, Mawkyrwat Police Station to the south, and Nongstoin Police Station to the west.

Following its establishment, areas now coming under the new station will no longer fall under the Mairang Police Station.
