Meghalaya Govt collects Rs 4.47 Cr from weighbridge at Jowai bypass

Over Rs 4.47 crore has been collected as revenue from the weigh bridge at Jowai bypass during the last three quarters.

The amount was collected by the transport department. According to official sources, Rs 100 was collected from light motor vehicles, Rs 150 from medium goods vehicles and Rs 200 from heavy goods vehicles.

A total of Rs 4,47,86,000 was collected by the department during the last three quarters, they said.
