Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War on Monday informed that there is no case of black fungus infection in the state so far.

Addressing media persons, Dr War however said that the state is fully prepared to tackle any eventuality arising out of the black fungus infection, which has been declared as an epidemic in the country.

According to him, all hospitals across the state have been asked to be vigilant.

“As and when it comes, we are prepared for it but we are on the vigil. We have asked all hospitals to be on the vigil but as of now we have no such cases in the state,” Dr War said.

Asked, the Director said the treatment for the fungal infection is completely a different ball game altogether.

“Now management of COVID-19 with the fungal infection if it is together we have different drugs for that…for that we have ramp up, we have prepared for that and as and when issue arises,” he said while adding that the fungal infection is caused by the water humidifier.
