Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh has informed that the state government has cleared the detention orders of five major narcotic dealers, most of whom are repeat offenders.

The detention orders were approved by a three-member advisory board headed by a retired Chief Justice, under Section 31 of the Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act (PITNDPS) 1988 for a period of one year.
