Dial 112 & 7640003646 in case of fire incident: Meghalaya Fire Service

The Superintendent of Police (F&ES), Shillong has issued two new emergency numbers viz., Emergency Number (NERS): 112 and Tablet Number: 7640003646 for information of fire or any emergency incident(s).

The two new emergency numbers was issued due to the disconnection of landline and broadband services by BSNL’s authority following increase in crime of cable theft in the city and the two BSNL services will not be working for the time being.

Moreover, it was stated that the existing landline numbers will be retained when converted to FTTH (Fiber to the Home).
