    The Meghalaya Estimate Committee visited the West Jaintia Hills District on Wednesday to inspect the Residential School located in Sabahmuswang, West Jaintia Hills District.

    The committee was led by Chairman and Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem, accompanied by Mawkyrwat MLA Renikton L Tongkhar, North-Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum, Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, Selsella MLA Arbinstone B Marak and Ampati MLA Miani D Shira. They inspected the residential school to assess its status, condition, and infrastructure.

    The members also allowed the headman of Sabahmuswang, who was the land donor for the construction of the residential school, to voice any problems or issues related to the school and its operation.

    Later, the members were felicitated in the community hall at Sabahmuswang.

    Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, BS Sohliya, IAS, District School Education Officer, Jowai AP Syiem, and officials from PWD (Building) were also present.
