Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Monday said nothing has been decided in regards to the students studying in Manipur.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “Nothing has been decided. We are waiting for the situation in Manipur to calm down but it is not happening but something has to be examined and decided for the interest of our students because the situation is not improving in Manipur.”

He appealed for peace to prevail in Manipur. “I would like to request from the bottom of my heart those friends in Manipur that peace is the need of the hour because life is a priority for any community.”

Sangma also informed that he was told that universities and institutions in Manipur are conducting online classes for students.

“Let us wait and see what we will do in the future. As a state government, we should find a way to address the problem for the interest of our students,” he added.
