    Over 5599 of 6553 persons have been tested negative for coronavirus in the state.

    According to a government statement on Tuesday, 939 test results are being awaited.

    The state is having two active cases after returnees from Chennai were tested positive for COVID-19. Both are in Garo Hills.

    At present the number of COVID-19 cases has increased to 15 with one fatal loss and 12 others have recovered from the viral infections.

    As many as 7447 persons (entrants from outside of Meghalaya) have been contacted through IVRS till 9 pm of May 25.

    As far as the contact tracing details are concerned, the government said that there are 313 high risk contacts and 1,122 low risk contacts.

    It said 727 persons are under institutional quarantine.

    On the health infrastructure, it was informed that there are   1,58,2283 PPEs, 6,30,000 3-ply masks and 2,06,086 N95 masks.

    The government also informed that 10627 persons have been visited in their homes by Health Workers till 2 pm on Tuesday.
