    District Magistrate East Khasi Hills has decided to temporarily close the office of the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong, Legacy General Store, Dedar Market, Police Bazar, Shillong, Babla’s Shoppe, G. S. Road after the detection of COVID-19 positive cases.

    The district magistrate in an order issued has directed the above mentioned stores and office to temporarily remain closed until further orders as to complete the contact tracing of high risk and low risk contact in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 infection.

    In another order, the District Magistrate has lifted the containment orders for Rapsang Building (under construction) opposite to Meghalaya Main Secretariat and the Building and Compound of Shri Anil Toi, Lower New Colony, Laitumkhrah with immediate effect.
