Meghalaya BJP reasserts faith in President Rikman G Momin

Putting a stamp of approval on Rikman G Momin’s style of open door leadership, the state unit of the BJP – India’s ruling party three terms in a row – has unanimously decided to continue with the incumbent president’s guidance for yet another term.

“This new term for the state BJP president comes with added challenges, what with ADC elections right round the corner and the Lok Sabha elections in the horizon. By imposing faith in Rikman G Momin, yet again, the party has signaled its confidence of a great showing under his able stewardship,” the party said in a statement.

It said that during his last term, over the past year or so, the president has restructured the organization in Meghalaya – ensuring better teamwork amongst the leaders, camaraderie amongst the cadre and belief in a brighter future amongst the rank and file of BJP as a whole. 

“His inspirational model of leadership has attracted leaders and workers from other parties too and Meghalaya BJP has been swelling in numbers, with many more names expected to join in due course of time,” the party said.

“Meghalaya BJP, under the supervision of Rikman G Momin stands poised to emerge as a potent political force in the state. A development that augurs well for the state as BJP in pole position can ensure that the various people friendly schemes of Prime MInister Narendra Modi’s Govt. are better implemented in Meghalaya,” it added.
