    Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma on Monday reviewed the ongoing construction of the new building of the Assembly at Mawdiangdiang. 

    The meeting held during the inspection to the construction site was attended by Deputy SpeakerTimothy D Shira, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister In-charge of Parliamentary Affairs  Prestone Tynsong, along with Commissioner & Secretary Dr. Andrew Simons, Additional Secretary Malthus Sangma,  Cyril V. Darlong Diengdoh, Parliamentary Affairs Department and officers from the Meghalaya Assembly Secretariat.

    Representatives from various line departments, including the Public Works Department (PWD), Parliamentary Affairs Department, Design Associates, and other Assembly officials.

    Project’s progress was discussed to address any challenges. 

    The Speaker expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.
