Meghalaya-Assam to take decision on next round of border talks in a week’s time: CM

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday said that a decision in regards to the next round of border talks with Assam will be taken in a week’s time.

“So we are working on it and in about a week’s time I will let you know what will be the next level of talks and meets will have and maybe physical visits that we may do,” Sangma said.

The chief minister had also met Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently.

“I met Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati. We sat down we discuss it was a very unofficial meeting we had breakfast together and there was nothing much in detail on any official discussion but we had a very long chit chat about many issues including the border aspects,” he said while adding that due to many activities going on in the past few weeks and months, we could not make much visits this side
