Meghalaya Assam police hold meeting for better border policing

A meeting between officials from Meghalaya and Assam was held at Raliang in West Jaintia Hills district on Friday.

Officers and staff of Mukoilum Out Post, West Karbi Anglong and Raliang Out Post attended the meeting.

According to the state police, the meeting was held for better coordination and co-operation in terms of policing on the interstate border.

During the meeting, issues pertaining to crime, militancy, movement of criminals & trouble mongers, movement of drugs, contraband & explosive items etc was discussed and to share intelligence.

Regular meetings between both Officer In-charge was agreed upon.
